Manufacturer Ohlins create mechatronic sokbreker for BMW R1200GS motorcycle.One of the world's first suspension system that uses electronics.These shock absorbers have been found on the Ducati Multistrada.
Motorists can tune the suspension without disturbing the electrical system because it interacts directly with the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) on the motor. The device also has a semi-active function that automatically adjusts the damping according to motor speed.
Parcels offered for R1200GS Ohlins consists of front and rear sokbreker following the live ECU plug. So,motorists can choose from several modes and damping rates, as well as setting a rear before accepting the load.
There are three modes,namely the "comfort", "Normal" and "Sport". For comfort at speeds below 80 miles per hour. When the motor speed exceeds 80 miles per hour, the ECU automatically change the mode to Normal and above 120 miles per hour shift into Sport mode. When the speed decreased, went back to normal mode, so the ride is more accurate.
