Market motorcycle or scooter automatically continue to rise in the country. Astra Honda Motor (AHM) is able to record market share in the scooter segment in May nearly 70% penetrated.Based on data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI), Honda's scooter sales in the domestic market last month was recorded at 260 085 units, up 2.7% compared with the previous month which recorded 253 249 units. This growth rate is much greater when compared to the month of May 2011 that is equal to 36.3% for the same month last year recorded only 190 883 units.

In May, the biggest contribution to AHM scooter sales still comes from the Honda Beat which sold 128.747 units, up 6.9% compared with the previous month which only 120.411 units. Honda Vario Series contributed the next largest with sales of 96.953 units, up 6.0% compared with the previous month which only 91.453 units.
Honda scooter models were also received that is not less than the consumer. Last month, Honda Scoopy retro scooter sold 15.676 units, while sales of Honda spacy series recorded 18.696 units while Honda PCX 125 sold 13 units.
