Las Vegas Motorcycle Auctions 2013

Best fix for the post holiday blues? Get on the plane and jet to Las Vegas to hang out with other like-minded classic motorcycle addicts who make the annual pilgrimage to find the bike of their dreams, or just dream of bikes. Whatever your two-wheeled preference, it's probably here during auction week at Las Vegas. The long-running Mid America auction at the South Point Casino is the biggest show, 'the best', well I'd have to say Bonhams at Bally's snagged that title once again. Some people prefer the non-stop chatter of American auctioneering, but to my ears, the soothing Brit-tastic style of auctioneer Malcom Barber and the folks at Bonhams win. They do the business without the hype and in a tone that;s more enjoyable whilst you consider your choices or chat with your new-found friends. Let's have a look at the Bonhams offerings first, shall we?

The low slung Seeley Suzuki, a rare bird indeed.

What Mid America Auctions had this year, was the Gary Koh's stunning collection of MV Agusta motorcycles, here goes:

The Phil Read inspired MV mini-bike. Going home with a new owner for a mere $10,000. (plus buyers premium)

Additonally, Mid America did have some other interesting machines other than the MV's. Here's a few more to consider.

The ex-Bart Markel Harley-Davidson flat track racer

Bultaco in a Box !

Well, there it is, another year at the Las Vegas classic motorcycle auctions. We'll look forward to the next one. New friends, old friends and more reasons than ever to keep searching for that perfect machine - the one that makes your heart skip a beat.
