Motorcycles at the Simeone Museum 2016

This year's Classic Motorcycles at the Simeone Museum featured a breathtaking group of motorcycles on display from August 20-Sept 9, 2016. Featured machines included Japanese Motorcycles, Competition Motorcycle and Mid-Century Modern Motorcycles.

Special Guests were Top Fuel Drag Racer Chris Hand and AMA Hall of Fame member, Cook Neilson.

This year's show featured artwork by photographer Dawn Deppi. Ms. Deppi was also the Featured Artist at Radnor Hunt Concours in September 2016.

Before he became the editor of Cycle magazine, Cook Neilson drag raced motorcycles and got to quizz our guest , racer Chris Hand on what it takes to do a 300 mph 1/4 mile pass. Chris is the longtime pilot of the Redneck Express, one of the fastest top fuel bikes in the history of the sport.

Mecum's Ron Christenson loaned the museum the 1928 Excelsior 'Big Bertha' Hillclimber for the exhibit. This bike is due to be sold at the Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction January 25-28, 2017
